Hey everyone I just wanted everyone to know that bonkers is doing wonderfully and really fits in with our family he's out and about about 8 to 9 hours a day terrorizing everyone with his constant demands for scratches and treats.
There has been no hormonal episodes so far this spring he gets a little worked up after too much contact but I just put him in his cage for a min or 2 and let him cool down. When do your amazons usually come into and out of spring hormones

Happy to hear that the Baron has trained his Staff well and that they are working well in his kingdom.

There are many factors as to the beginning of any one Amazon's 'Season.' Commonly, the general time of year begins after late December thru and into late March /early April for those Amazons located in North America, the natural transition to Spring! However, factors outside of the increase in Natural Day Light can bring-on a Hormonal Event at anytime of the year.

Homes with a never ending day!
Nesting Box or like Nesting areas!
The availability of warm mush type foods!
Contact with sexually sensitive body areas!
Over-stimulation as a part of play or interactions!
etc...

If there are no or very limited 'drivers' it is just as possible that an Amazon would not have a heavy Hormonal Response.

Most Owners are more concerned about whether their Amazon will be Hormonal than whether it is their season or not!

Wow this is weird! Just the other day I was wondering about his Lordship.
Happy to hear the big green guy is doing so well and keeping his Royal subjects entertained.

Yanno?..we ALL could use another photo of his highness :59:
