Beak colorations

Okay, I have been noticing that Jade has a black band along the top part of his beak on the top mandible. I was wondering if it was a baby bird thing or if maybe one of the parents isn't fully a PFLB, maybe another kind of LB though yanno? Any thoughts on why he'd have a dark band?

Well I thought that lovebirds had just red or yellowish beaks!
I've never seen a lovebird with bicolor beak, but I don't know much about them, never had lovebirds unfortunately..

Jades beak looks perfectly fine, nothing wrong with it, just has a dark band lol

I will wait and see maybe it will fade or something ... I don't know lol

I swear I was reading that was a jeuvinile trait a day or so ago but I can't seem to find where If I stumble on it again I will link it for you.

I don't know if that is any help to you or not, but it does suggest that this is normal in a lot of cases. Unfortunately I am not even able to identify lovebirds by basic colouring yet so I could be way off, but this might be it. I am sure someoen else will know for sure.

Oh whew ... yah the left one is what Jades beak is like ... thing is neither Serenity (momma) or Pix (poppa) have that - both their beaks are the lighter color. But, yah, it seems perfectly normal, so I won't worry ... Probably gives an idea as to what he will look like though
