I have only gained the courage to say this after so long, but during the massive heat wave we have a week ago echo, our sweet baby, died of heat stroke.

That day the we had a power outage and could not use the ac. We tried bathing them that worked for a while but echo was getting very stressed still. We took her to the vet as soon as i started noticing she kept rocking her head up and down and tail bobbing.
In her necropsy it was also discovered that she was in the beginning stages of a respiratory infection as well which was why she was more stressed i assume. I feel ashamed of not realizing she was sick.
We will always love you echo

I am so sorry for your loss of Echo. Please don't blame yourself, there may not have even been any symptoms for you to see, given that it was the early stages. You did all you could for her. Fly free, Beautiful Echo, you will be missed.

I am very sorry to hear of this news, and your loss of Echo. As Terry said, please try not to blame yourself. There could have been no symptoms to see. Please accept my condolences in this difficult time.

I am so truly sorry for your loss. Thank you for having the courage to share this sad event as it will be beneficial to others that read it. It also reaffirms that it is important to have a regular health check. You cannot always tell what is going on. No shame. Hope you will stay on the forums and we will hear of a new addition in time when you are ready.

So sorry for your loss. Dont blame yourself this could have happened even if Echo had been on treatment for the infection...you just dont know...it is so hard when we blame ourselves for things outside of our control and we all do it at times but the truth is you did all you could and if Echo has one message for you from Rainbow Bridge it would be to say:Thank you for all the love and care that was spent on her and for the wonderful life she had with you and she would most certainly not want you blaming yourself. She is your Angel now and she will be with you always watching over you and Blessing you all through your life. Fly free Echo and Rest in Peace <3

Sorry to hear this. You're in my thoughts and prayers today.

There are no words that will relieve your broken Heart. But, know that here, you are in the company of Bird /Parrot lovers that understand and know your loss! Loving Prays!

From one who has visited the edge of this bridge with my own Amazons, I offer this knowledge; while busy developing a large place in your Heart for themselves, they also have created a space for another, when the time is right for you.

In breezes, I feel your presents - thank-you for your love! You have changed my life for the better and I will always love and miss you!

I feel your pain in the loss of your parrot, Echo. But Pumsmom and others are right, in posting this, other parronts may learn enough so that they might avoid the same loss.

Deepest Condolences for your loss of Echo. I am so sorry.

I am so very sorry for your loss. :( Please do not blame yourself. Birds can hide sickness very well. You did what you could. Hugs to you.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Deepest condolences. During this season it gets very hot but extremely hot especially out west I've been seeing. And without A/C makes it even harder. You did the best you could so please don't blame yourself. Birds do hide their illnesses very well. May Echo fly free over Rainbow Bridge.

So sorry to hear, that is so tough to lose a beloved feathered friend. You did everything you could, please don't blame yourself. Take the time to remember Echo and all the love and good times you had together.

My deepest condolences for your loss of Echo. Illnesses in the beginning stage are difficult if not impossible to diagnose. Sadly this was compounded with the wretched heat experienced in your area. Echo will be missed and always loved.

Just got back online...soooo sorry.

My deepest sympathy. I freely admit that I say this to everyone I meet who is experiencing a loss. It was in a sympathy card when my Mother passed, and it stuck with me. The message was... "May the pain of losing her soon be outweighed by the joy of having had her in your life." I wish that for you.
