BOO ! Need help!!

well i posted about 10 days ago that i was finaslly able to hold remington, that was a saturday and then again on sunday, got called out of town wed-sun and now he wont step up, is he mad that i went away? Im supposed to take him to the vet tonight now im not sure i will be able to..... any suggestions??

Just be consistent with your training to step up. If all else fails you can try to get him on a perch and then into a carrier for the vet.

he wont step up on a perch...urg!!

You may have to towel him to go. It is important to get him to the vet. He will get over it. In time he will be back to feeling comfortable with you.

what was i thinking, he was on his playstand and i was able to unscrew the perch and he's now in the crate! Thanks Spiritbird! Off to the vet!

just got home from vet, although there was some loud screams, everything went well~ 2.7 lbs, and remington is now enjoying a nice warm oatmeal snack!

MMM. Oatmeal yummies!!! Glad to hear all is well with Remington, now you can get down to business and bond with that beautiful bird of yours without the worries or concerns for his wellbeing. Not that you shouldn't worry about his well being or anything, I just mean, now you know he has a clean bill of health, what a GREAT start!!

I am glad the vet check went well! Yes they tend to go backwards when we leave them for a couple of days. They do get upset with us and their method of showing how upset is a bit painful most of the times.

So now you know that YOU cant go on holiday without this guy, he will have to come with. He is one of those!
