Breakfast.. where at?

I was just sitting here wondering what everyone does. I have a very flexible morning schedule. Both birds seem okay with it. They usually have out time while I am getting the kids ready for school, go back in their cages when I drop the kids off, and come back out when I get home. I've noticed they really dont seem to eat their breakfast like you think they would. I've tried several different things. Giving it to them before I leave when I put them back in, giving it to them when I get back, giving it to them before theyve even been let out first thing, and I've tried holding breakfast off until a little bit later in the morning after theyve had some out of cage time.
So, today I thought I would introduce a big bowl of food by the window where their play stand is and low and behold, both are eating away while watching the on goings outside the window. Both seem content, no one is bothered that the other is close, and theyre enjoying the big bowl of "conure dunking water" I provided next to the breakfast bowl. Am I starting something I should not? It just seems theyre too busy with trying to break out normally to be bothered with eating, and once the two hours is up, I take away the food (spoiling). Just wanted to hear opinions, and what others morning breakfast times are like

Hi Jodi, I think its a wonderful idea, as long as your near by to supervise and they get along I see nothing wrong with it, all my birds are uncovered, fed (fruits,veggies,beans,rice ect) and watered about 7:30 or so, have their out of cage time from about 9-2, back in to eat their standard diet of pellets, seeds, nuts ect, back out from about 3-8, usually a shower thrown in somewhere in here, then its beddie bye time and get some sleep and get ready to do it all over again the following day

I agree with Bobby... I think that is great that you can feed them out and they get along.
