Sun Conure
My 9 year old sun conure had become broody, nested/laid eggs 3 times in the past 8 months. I'm sorry to say that I've been too busy and distracted with some family issues to have researched before this, but I'm hoping to get some advice on how to handle her and what to do...
She is an only bird, so no fertile eggs, but I don't know if I should let her sit on them for a while, or take them away immediately (which I tried the first time, but she kept laying, and I didn't want to strain her health by continuing to let her lay eggs.)
Help! What is the best way to handle this?

I have actually written an article to help with this sort of situation, I'll link it below. For now, I suggest leaving the eggs, but please read the article on preventing it in the future.

I have heard some owners replace the eggs with fake eggs and one boiled the eggs so they would not rot. His bird gave up laying more and eventually ignored it. Not sure if it helps or not.

Thank you for your replies, I WILL read the article - I hate to think it would affect her health to continue this, I would think it would be a strain.

...one perk - she IS quiet!!! :03: :orange:
