Budgie Rescue in Progress

My sympathy, DonnaBudgie; When a flighted budgie doesn’t want to cooperate they’re almost impossible to get in their cage! I keep all of my birds’ food dishes inside the cage, so the birds have to go all the way in to eat. It gets them comfortable and used to going inside the cage regularly. You might consider leaving Cora locked up
in the cage for a few days/ nights in a row so that she gets used to roosting in the cage at night. This can go a long way towards creating a good routine of going inside the cage in the evening. If she’s been living wild, I’m sure her instinct is to get as high as possible at night as height equals safety.

Thank you for your support. I hate to ground her bit the situation requires an adjustment. Wings grow back.
