Button will probably be a hormonal little mess tomorrow because of it, but birthdays come but once a year. You gotta live a little.

I wish Ava would at least be more interested in chewing pine, so toys would last slightly longer. She just picks at it here and there though, & LOVES all the really soft stuff like balsa, yucca, & sola (apparently). I think I just need to buy bulk supply of all of it. Button, on the other hand, takes painfully long to destroy anything. LolSola toys are awesome, they never last long with my guys either!!

I advocate buying sola in bulk. When I try to get more it's often sold out, which wouldn't be the case if they didn't go through it so quick!
Ona loves her some sola too! Popular among so many species.

You have beautiful parrots. Your Amazon looks smaller than the ones I’ve worked with (primarily 2 yellow napes). How much does she weigh? I’m not familiar with all of the Amazon species, and sizes.

I looked it up. According to Google AI, Sola is the lightweight pithy center of the stems of the Sola plant, Aescyhnomene aspera. It is non-toxic and safe for all birds and animals.
Salty ( a yellow shoulder Amazon) weighs around 340 gr and is like 1/2 the size of a Yellow Nape. He had a very pronounced blue area around his nares when he was young, but since then it has turned green. He has a small spot under his beak that is still blue.
