Buying new cage - lift gate option???

Remember that each place in this world has its pitfalls. Houston has serious problems with flooding and it is very easy to find a wonderful home that can become (if you are lucky) an island surround by water or overwhelmed with water at depth in your new home. Buy high and dry!!! :D

Hope you are all settling in Chris. We had to move (without choice) after being burnt out in the fires last year. Bertie and Ellie did great in a 'disaster' situation so I'll bet Parker will do great with all of the love around and his new cage. Bertie is slow to accept "NEW" (so we save his cage from the fire) whilst Ellie is 'bring it on' and explore, but still needed some familiarity (pieces of the old cage that we saved from the fire) to move on. All the best.

For sure, and the heat! Heat and humidity!!

Flooding is definitely top of mind (it only hit me after we made the decision that...HURRICANES). I’ve already looked at flood zone maps and such.

I’m ready for heat and humidity. We already get insane humidity here in dc. My HOPE when we first started looking for potential places was to get somewhere not so humid. But Houston it was to be!

Flood maps! I was gonna retire to Scotland, nice little cottage right on Loch Ness, but the flood map showed that this house shoulda been built on stilts. Now I know why it was only 60K lb.
