Has anyone found a good way to capture your bird's footprint? I'd like to try to make Iago's footprint into a tattoo but can't think of any good way to do it.

That's an awesome idea! I would try Amaco Cloud Clay, it's non toxic and safe for small children to use, I would think it would be safe for your project. You can probably find it in art supply stores or you can order it from dickblick.com.

I'd love to see how your project turns out.

Don't forget to take a good picture of the foot so they can get the shading right.

I never even thought about shading it the same color of his feet! I was thinking of just black footprints.

I've seen one done and it was true color to the birds foot. Black would be good also :) Can't wait to see

What about using baby safe ink or baby safe paint?

This is such a cool idea!

I actually have this as a plan for Rosa too! I take photos of her foot imprint on my skin when we're hanging out and she stays still long enough to leave an indent. It gives a true texture on skin. Im going to do tattoos of my pets prints as they die :( I am getting my first one, a cat named Aiko who died in March of kidney disease this month. I'll likely do the birds long before death though, as they're gonna outlive my skin elasticity very likely *giggling*
