I wish Cecil the seagull would stay away from people. Any wild animal that gets to close to the general public is putting its own life at risk. Some police officers here in Maine were arrested a while back for beating porcupines to death. I've heard of people deliberately run over snapping turtles crossing the road to lay their eggs. There's an idiot who lives about mile from me. It's a dirt road on a beautiful lake so we have lots of wildlife around, land and aquatic, including Canada Geese. A few year ago this MORON decided he hated the geese that frequented his yard because they poop there so he lured them into his property with food and beat several to death with a baseball bat. He was arrested for cruelty to animals and I was in tears when I found out about the incident. Let's hope Cecil doesn't fall victim to people like that.

I agree 100% that wildlife should stay away from people. Never volunteer at any shelter/rescue/sanctuary. It will taint your viewpoint of the public. People are cruel. We had an officer in a small town by me shooting cats. Yes, in town, and people’s pet cats.

I'm not sure my view of the public could get much more tainted. I know there are a lot of good people but all it takes is one or two rogues to spoil things. I listed just two horrible incidents- imagine how many occur that never get reported! I have a friend who was a marine mammal trainer and worked a theme parks dealing with Idiot Public. The dolphin swims were where he saw some of the worst entitled behavior.

You don’t like animals on display for human entertainment? This is at bear country in SD. I visited here after it was highly recommended by the locals. I was trying to figure out what happened to the parents of all of these young cubs. They never stop moving!!!

Poor creatures! What is going to happen to those bears when they arent cute babies anymore? There are States in the US that allow gross animal exploitation and keeping wild animals as "pets" in the guise of freedom to do what they want. Texas and Oklamoma come to mind but there are others.

I am guessing that’s when they move them to the adult section that you drive through
