Peace & Quiet (Yellow-Sided Green Cheek Conures, brother and sister). They are my babies whom I love very much and they are such a blessing.
Going to the vet next week and I was trying to make certain that their feet look well.

For the girl (Qui Qui):

For the boy (PCee), her sibling who was born in the same clutch as she was:

I made certain that I cleaned their cage deeply and I know that females (from what I've been told) can have grey feet - but I was just trying to be certain since I worry on my babies and pray they stay in good health with the diet/space they're given.

I hope I am not being worrisome, as I went looking for feet comparisons and I do pray that it's cool:

They look fine as far as I can see but tbh it is the underside of the foot that problems start to appear. You're AV is the one to ask and as you are going anyway just ask for a general physical look over. :-)

They look "normal" to me...Why are you so worried about their feet before they go to the vet?

Underside seemed clear and I did look up things for checking health, as they go yearly anyhow :)

No, I didn't state that question the way I wanted to; I meant why are you so concerned about the way his feet look if you're taking him to his CAV soon anyway, the CAV will look at his feet, along with giving him a complete Wellness-Exam, and let you know how they are and how he is, and make suggestions if there is an issue...

Personally, and this is just my opinion, but I would much rather take my birds to their yearly Wellness-Exams just exactly the way they are at the time, without me worrying about them "looking good", for lack of a better way to say that...Meaning, I want to know exactly how they really, truly are health-wise, so I'm certainly not going to do any "primping' of their feathers, feet, beak, etc. to make them look "good" or "better", as that is the only way I'm going to get an accurate picture of their overall-health...

As a rule if your bird in on the right diet, is able to exercise his feet with different types of perches and those perches are kept clean you should not have any problems. It can occur when they get a slight abrasion and then infection is able to enter this through unclean perches etc. Sensible housekeeping is fine. :-)
