Hiya!

My IRN is loving the clicker and the target, and will wander to the other side of the room to climb up my leg and onto my arm to touch the target. We can't do recall yet - he came to me with a horrific clip.

I'd really love to know what to progress to! I've googled but I'm struggling to find ideas for a natural next step. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks :)

Turning around was the next step for us! Literally get your IRN to follow the stick in a circle. Easy to teach :)

I also did "turn around" as my second trick. You could also try teaching "come" without flying, and this might help you with a flying recall as well later. Just have him walk across the floor or a table to come to you. Walking along a tight rope or through a tube are also fun and simple tricks that are easy to teach using a target :)

Teaching him to wave is also relatively easy. You could try that after you teach turn around.

Steps two three and four! Thank you, feeling much more confident in moving forward :)
