Just wanted to give you guys a follow up:

My cockatiel is doing well. Breathing is fine, no respiratory issues. No excessive sneezing. The vet says I can stop after 1 week of treatment, but if I really really wanted to, I can go another 5 days. However, I'm planning on taking a weekend trip this weekend, so I'd only be able to continue his treatment for another 2 days.

Obviously, I'm going to discuss this with the vet, but wanted to hear your thoughts as well. What do you guys think? Should I cancel my trip?

Again, this is for prevention of aspiration pneumonia since he potentially could have aspirated in the shower. He never really showed any respiratory issues to begin with.

I would not cancel your trip.

The original prescription was for 7 days. I could sneak in another day or 2. The person taking care of him while I'm gone cannot give him meds, unfortunately.
