Conure friend advice

I really feel like I should get a buddy for my 3 y/o sun conure. I would love to adopt another bird. However, I don't know for sure if little Jax would be so accepting. He has been by himself his whole life, besides the half year he lived in a house with a B&G (cept they never really had contact with each other). Are there any predictors that tell he wouldn't mind having a friend or is it just a gamble? What species gets along with sun conures? I know someone who has a jenday available for adoption. Let me know what you all think!

So it is really different bird to bird. I have a Green Cheek who is a very good buddy with a crimson bellied conure and both are very friendly with an ancient parakeet and one of our dogs. See what I mean. All that said your bird's best buddy is you. We make sure Sam, Gem and Merry have one on one time as well as flock time.

I had Nicky for 4 years before I rescued Gracie. He is indifferent towards her but Gracie HATES him. Sun conures and senegals are supposedly compatible but Gracie was attacked by another bird the day before I brought her home so my situation may be different. Just make sure that if you do decide to get a buddy for Jax, make sure they are in separate cages, at least until they get to know each other.
