My conure today had a night fright and had a very small bruise in her right nostril (already put saline solution there) and i noticed after that shes closing her right eye, but theres no visible cut or injury there, i will go to the vet as soon as i can (3h away from here) but what i can do in the meantime? Are artificial tears (the same ones used by humans) safe for them? And what about sterile saline?

As long as what you're putting in the eye (saline, tears) is sterile and unexpired (a NEW unopened package) it likely wouldn't hurt. A drop is a large amount for a bird's eye so most will spill out all over his face feathers so wipe up.

Our avian vet has had us use artificial tears before for one of our birds, but that was for irritation following nebulization, not an injury.

There are two kinds of artificial tears. With and w/o preservatives. Make sure you are using preservative free.
