Conure weight.

Sprinkles My little black capped conure was 72 grams when I first got him in June he was 72 grams. His hatch date is march 24th. I got a Gram scale today and put him on it. He is 77 gram. He is 9 inch from head to end of tail.

He is going to the vets for a check up and nail clipping soon. I don't have any one to compare birds with since he is the only Black capped I have ever known. I could compare him to a green cheek I guess.

He has filled in and looks like a little stud.

does anyone weight your birds?

A quick google search quickly reveals the average weight for a black capped conure is about 70 grams. So your handsome little guy looks to be right on target where he needs to be.

74grams here. (Although 71 in the morning after morning poop and before food)

I weigh the Rbird once a month or so... 255 (+/-) grams. Hard to believe that much trouble only weighs 9 ounces.
