Before I begin telling you how I found out she speaks, let me say this. We are not sure what gender Cookie is but we refer to her as a female because my brother said Cookie probably is a female. Also she hasn't been trough her first molt. Alright let me continue!

I found out she speaks just a few hours ago! There was no electricity so I was just laying on the bed. So there are 2 birds in my house. Crippi, my brother's 5 month old lutino male cockatiel. And Cookie, my 3 month old white face cockatiel, gender unknown. Crippi is very vocal and whistles to If Your Happy And You Know It and BTS-Idol. He also says "hello" and "Whatcha doing?" (and also imitates Asian Koels and house geckos).

Her first words were "Whatcha doing?". Before she said it she was being very vocal and trying her hardest to whistle. Of course she was just trying to whistle (To be honest, it was terrible).

I'm very proud of her and going to teach her more words and phrases.:grey:

Yay, congrats!!! Glad Cookie is feeling better and starting to practice her vocabulary and, most importantly, starting to share her first words with you :)

On a side note, I send my condolences to your family for Crippi learning the koel call :p It's particularly infamous where I live. You just have to google "singapore bird oooo" and that's the first thing that pops up hahaha

"singapore bird oooo"? That's a strange name for it XD. Also we never even tried to teach Crippi the Koel call. He just heard it and decided he wanted to imitate it. Same with house geckos (those little critters disgust me). :yellow1:
