Male Eclectus ~25 years old (rescue)
Chico is not a big chewer. The only wood he likes to chew regularly on is an old pine coffee table. I did notice he likes to shred cork so I made him a toy. Luckily the GF keeps me well supplied with wine bottle corks. This morning I drilled a hole through a cork and stuff it with almonds. He had no problems opening the paper wrapped almond I have been leaving him so I expect to find shreded cork this evening.

Cork man has been hanging for a month and still not touched.

I read a rant somewhere against wine corks--that the wine remnants could be toxic in some way. It was enough to intimidate me, but I would LOVE to surrender my corks to my birds. Is it actually ok?

Parent's have, I baby sit a blue crown conure.
My husband and I adopted a rescue blue and gold macaw.
Make a cork bird or a geometric cork ball.

Play with it like it's something he is not supposed to have.
