No, Daytona looked like a Sun-Jenday mix with female hormonal behavior, so I had her DNA'd.

Thanks, Christa NL, now I know why she and my male are so tight!

Is it that during regular DNA sexing they can verify the species (sun vs sunday)? Or it's a separate test?

A Conure by any other name would still be as beautiful.

They did a separate and costlier test so threw gender in for free!

That test isn't available in Poland? (I wallow in my ignorance.)

It cost US$116.18.

Actually haven't heard of DNA species test. Cytrynka have been DNA sexed, and her certificate says "Sun conure" on it. But I believe that's what the breeder filled on the form. And just was curious if it's possible do a DNA test to tell the species.
I always thought it's easy to tell apart Sun and Sunday (most Sundays I've seen were Jendays by wings, and Suns by faces). But it's possible that there are also other types of a Sunday, more Sun-like.
