Discolored nail

Hello all,

Prim has a discolored nail on her right foot. It has been like this for about 2 week now. It does not seem to be getting better or worse. She does not seem to favor it or avoid using it. I attached a couple of pictures.

We assume it was a bite from Poco because sometimes they tussle. Is this something that we should be concerned about. We will definitely take her to the avian vet if warranted.

I guess a pretty good bite. But I don't know. You definitely don't want it traveling higher. If its just bite damage should start growing out.

Keep tracking weight.

As stated above, clearly one heck of a bite. Possibly a break of the blood supply to the nail. As stated it will grow-out with time.

Need to keep a close watch of the two when they are out together.

And as stated above, it if starts darkening higher it's a run to the Avian Vet's clinic.
