- i have a cockatiel named 瓜子GUAZI(chinese for sunflower seed),recently want to rescue a cockatoo
hi guys,
I love to DIY my own parrot toys. if you are interested as well, here are some tips for you.
this is the one i made at Sep 14th.
1. first, to get all kinds of little components. all of my materials are from chinese eBay. i think you guys can use whatever you can find in this way.
2. use a drill hammer to drill every piece of wood you want to add in your toy. you can drill in different angles to keep your toy interesting.
3. use edible pigments to dye your materials. i purchased yellow, red and blue. then made orange and green my own. you can try other colours as well.
4. air dry your components. sometimes you need to repeat step 3 several times to make sure your colour is bright and wonderful. if you want to be quick, you may also use a hair drier to help you.
5. use a wood stick and iron wire to string your materials together. put some little bells on it to make it fun.
see how lovely it is. Blue and Guazi love it so much! but you may need some extra materials because toos are supper destroyer!
hope this tutorial may help you make your own parrot toys. please try and send me some photos!
that's all for today, love you guys!
