I don’t really keep track, but my biggest talker is by far Tsali, my CAG, who can pick up words or noises the first time he hears them IF he wants to lol. Big IF! It’s interesting to listen to him change his vocabulary as our vocab changes with life, as well as since he came to live with us. He’s 4, and has been with us just over a year. He no longer calls the “girls” (dogs his former owner’s daughter owned, if I remember right,) but he lectures our dog Ranger extensively! He mimics both individual cats, and even mimics conversations that he hears often lol. We really don’t specifically try to teach him words usually though. The exception is that my husband has been trying to teach him “Help! They turned me into a parrot!” But so far he just says “Help! They tuuuuuurned!” His former owner recently reminded me that she taught him her contact info (which he has no told us), and that it would be wise to teach him ours. He also repeats quite a few tunes and experiments with his own music lol. But it’s never really occurred to me to record his progress.
