Does your conure(s) have a nickname? If so, for what?

For a second there I thought it was real haha! If I get this, Boomer will tear it a new one - quiet literally. Or he might love it. Where can I buy this?

I don't have any creative nicknames for my Alex. My sister calls him Demon or Devil (she's convinced he's evil). I'll sometimes call him Alexander when he's being particularly handsome. Other than that, I just call him Alex, Buddy, or Dummy (in the most loving way possible XD).

@Boomer I honestly don't know where you can get them. I just googled 'stuffed sun conure' and filtered it to images (luckily I didn't come across any taxidermy).

I have a scarlet macaw stuffed parrot that makes a squeaking noise when you squeeze it. I bought it at the pet store. When I saw it I asked the clerk and they said it was a dog toy. I told them that's all sorts of wrong and I bought it. I told them I was giving it a reprieve. LOL.

@AlexTheGreenCheekConure Sometimes I will say to Skittles when he is misbehaving - "hey, you wanna go in the oven at 325 degrees for 20 minutes?" I'd never do that, but people think it's funny.

I threaten my furry babies all the time... They just look at me like, "Ha. As if." Everyone knows I'm a complete softie when it comes to any animal. XD
Another 'nickname' I call Alex is Chicken. He's such a scary cat! He gets freaked when I get home from school and put my backpack in the 'wrong' spot.

@AlexTheGreenCheekConure I'm the same way. A TOTAL softie when it comes to animals, ESPECIALLY birds. No offense to anyone, but I'm much more compassionate towards animals than I am to most people.

Like my vet says "that's why I became a veterinarian instead of a physician. Animals are cute people are just sick." LOL.

@Skittys_Daddy Same! I'm currently a pre-vet student and I work at a vet clinic, so almost everyone I hang out with are animal people like me, which is awesome. We get scratched and bit by cats and dogs, and it's always one of our top priorities to keep the animals comfortable and as calm as possible. We get into some interesting positions while restraining animals. XD Sadly, my vet clinic doesn't have an avian vet, so we never get to work with birds. :(

Your vet sounds awesome!

Skitty and Peaches actually have two vets. It's a husband and wife that run the practice. Both are avian vets.

I've had to take my birds to regular vets over the years for sudden or emergency issues and while they all try their best, they are pretty clueless when it comes to birds. It's pretty scary when I know more about a birds anatomy and common issues than a standard vet.

I call Teeko by many names, my favorites being "teeker-beaker little green squeaker" when he's particularly cute and "mean green biting machine" when he's not!
His other nicknames include;
Demon Bird*
Devil*
The Pestilence
Teeki
Vacuum Bird
Teekpot (He used to do a killer teapot impression!)

*These were coined by my father in lighthearted humor. He gets a kick out of giving me grief for how evil Teeko can get sometimes!

I used to call Kiwiberry 'K-burry' and 'Sweetie' or 'Sweetheart' usually sweetie out of those two though.

I named Caesar and then my fiancé added the rest so his full name is Caesar Pablo Montoya Escobar. Then we call him jerk face when he misbehaves. My fiancés daughter likes to call him petunia.

Skittles middle name is "Arcenciel".

Mochi becomes mochi-mo or momo

My wife calls my bird "Zelda Mae" so she goes by Mae Mae. Winged rat is when she's in trouble, butt bird as well. We used to call her Spalding when she was overweight because she looked like a tennis ball. When she's hanging upside down she is called batbird. And my favorite is Nibbler for obvious reasons.

When he is a good bird JellyBean gets called JB, The Bean, Baby... and my little Maneen (Irish for small boy!)... when he is naughty he is Seriously Bold Bird, which he now says even before I do - it is hilarious!

Sometimes I do call Skittles "my little pookie". Other times, I call him by has gansta name which is "the Mischievous G-Pita" (giant pain in the ***).

Pico's full name is "Pico De Gallo" but he has toooons of nicknames.
I mostly call him Pico, Picos, Pico Bird, and Pico-Pico
when talking about him to other people I call him "The Peeks" and my roommate calls him "The Peek-Meister"
I also always call him "silly bird" and "my little baby"
:-)

He doesn't talk much at all but when he does he normally imitates the sound of me saying "Pico bird" and "Pico Pico" which is adorable, he reminds me of a little pokemon!

My mother, I love her dearly, but she just doesn't 'get it'. Funny thing is, she's had birds over the years and is the one who got me into them.

When she first saw a picture of Skittles, her exact reaction was this: "he doesn't have enough red. Too much yellow".

The other day she asked me if he was talking yet and I told her no, I'm not teaching him to talk. She asked me "then why the hell did you pay $600 for a parrot?". Talking parrots are cute, don't get me wrong. But I am partial to 'cuddle birds', I like that Skittles is a little velcro-bird and cuddlebug.
