Domnijoe - The Art Studio and Bird Herder's Residence

Wonder if he likes flying. My CAG doesn't fly much. She'll fly short distance to explore something. Otherwise she climbs, walks around. Nameliss is a disassembler. She walks, climbs with the purpose of satisfying that. I honestly prefer that. I don't have much worry about her dive bombing or perch on high, hard to reach places.

Most of my budgie seem to love flying, but I know a lot of larger parrots don't fly much in household captivity. One of the problems with having companion birds and integrating them into our lives is their flight. With a dog or cat you can take them with you when you leave the house to do things, but that's almost impossible with most birds so they need to stay home, often confined to a cage. Even the most reluctant flyers could easily get spooked outdoors and fly off never to be seen again.
The other problem with parrots is their almost universal tendency to bite even the humans they like the most on occasion, or even frequently, especially when hormones rage. First time parrot owners seduced by cute YouTube parrot videos oftwn become scared of their birds. Dogs and cats have long been socialized and trained not to bite people. What person would tolerate cat or dog or any pet that attacks them? Us parrot people are a strange lot, indeed! 🤪
