Some fun facts about this particular falcon cam (thanks Google):
It's been in place since 1994, so several pairs have used that nest box, since falcons usually live 15 or so years. I vaguely remember hearing about it on the news when it was first installed (that was the year my daughter was born, so I was home and bored for 8 weeks LOL - I also watched the ENTIRE OJ car chase and made my then-husband pick up pizza for dinner because I wasn't leaving the TV to cook!).
Last year, a pair arrived, laid 4 eggs, and then disappeared. It's believed that the mama bird died. Apparently dad bird was seen lurking around a bit but not showing any interest in the eggs. More googling reveals that falcons are believed to mate "until death do they part,, but if a mate dies, the other bird may find its new mate within a week.
Falcons hatch after like 31-33 days.
