I just found out about this program that donates molted feathers to "Pueblo Indians of the Southwest". You can send in your parrots molted feathers and the nonprofit will send the feathers to Native Americans to minimize the amout of parrots that are killed to get a hold of their feathers.

I (and my parrot club friends) donated to some similar places when the Rb and I were living in New Mexico. It really felt good to have a meaningful source for donating. Thanks for supplying that.
 
ooh I've been saving Apollo's feathers, maybe I can do this.
 
Great idea!

Now 'repairing' severe wing clips (imping?) is getting more mainstream we should have more "featherbanks" as well, I think.
 
Feather banks and Dream Catcher Banks, for sure!

The Pueblos especially coveted Macaw and Amazon feathers when I was active.
