Feather Picking? i need help

hi all,
i was wondering if someone could help out with my gorgeous ekky male feather plucking...unfortunately this may be a long message as i want to ensure i have listed all possible contributions.
my boy has been feather picking in just one area at the back of his neck...but the area it slowly getting bigger.
he is a very amorous bird and tries to hump my arm every day and regurgitates on me any chance he gets. the next door neighbour also has a female who is outside in an avairy ( he is an inside bird) but he can hear her and screams out sometimes. i am unsure if maybe he is needing a mate? i read that sexual frustration can be a cause of picking.
saying that, since i have had my son, who is 15months old, i have not had as much time with him as i used to. i have had him for approx. 4yrs now but in the last 15 months with having a child i try to spend as much time with him as i can but its still not half as much as i used to. i do not know if getting a female would possibly help with companionship?
i have plenty of toys in the cage and alternate them regularly as both myself and partner work 5 days a week fulltime (but this has always been the case so i do not think this would cause issue after so long?)
my son also is jealous of pedro and as soon as im talking to pedro he wants attention from me too...which makes pedro angry and he goes and plays rough with this toys after that happens.
i dont know what to do

Maybe good idea to ask your neighbor if he can mouve with his femel for a certin period to see if he likes the idea of been with a femel

thank you for responding yes we have approached them a little while ago and put the suggestion out there when pedro started screaming when she was calling out but they did not want to put them together unfortunately

Based on what your wrote, it sounds to me like the big change started when your son entered the picture combined with Pedro reaching sexual maturity the added hormones triggered his plucking. Half the battle in resolving an issue is knowing the cause so now with that information you can find solutions. Perhaps a female companion or perhaps balancing more alone time between your son and Pedro could make a positive change.

Maybe considering a collar, before he gets on the habit of plucking, I have read they usually pluck during the night!

So u may want to give a night try

BTW im not an expert never had so far a plucker bird
