I'm sure it is something from Poicephalus genusBronze wing pionus! ( I'm thinking) edit saw the green so now I'm not sure...
You dont seem them as much in the trade anymore but everyone who has owned one loves them.
Not necessarily all meyers have it. But you are right, it is a poi 100%, i cannot mistake their faces.Meyer's parrots have some yellow feathers. I'm not sure if young ones too
ok, I didn't know about it: "Subspecies P. m. damarensis and P. m. reichenowi lack yellow markings on the head, while P. m. transvaalensis may have little to no yellow on the head" (~Wikipedia)Not necessarily all meyers have it. But you are right, it is a poi 100%, i cannot mistake their faces.

Jasper is a Meyers parrot. He has a little bit of yellow in his forehead and shoulders. Green/ aqua tummy. Mostly brownish grey in color. On the right side of his forehead he only has a little bit of yellow. Much more is on the left side. His head and wings should be more blue. I aggree with Roz
I am so sorry to hear about your loss of your two sweet babies! How hard it must've (still is) for you...! May they forever fly high!!Jasper is a Meyers parrot. I had a bronze wing Pionus years ago but she was killed in a gas leak, along with my very old cherry headed conure. She was a beautiful bird and the conure had the best personality though he had been terribly abused before he came to me. I miss them both. Somehow my Quaker was spared, thank god.
My bronze wing had coral colored skin around her eye to match her vent and I think wing feathers.Bronze wing pionus! ( I'm thinking) edit saw the green so now I'm not sure...

They probably saved me as I was getting very bad headaches when I was at home sleeping in my futon on the floor. I am just glad that my Quaker was ok. I could not have handled losing her.I am so sorry to hear about your loss of your two sweet babies! How hard it must've (still is) for you...! May they forever fly high!!
Yes agreed!! It seems to be not that many people own them. Saw one post saying they are aggressive but they are really not at all and has the best temperment among many other species. Maybe I was lucky with my BB that he was the sweetest, smartest, cutest and most cuddly birdie I have ever owned for 27 years. Seeing his closeup photo makes me want to have another big cry again. Every little noise in the house still think it was him. Really miss my darling so much π’We need more senegals on this site!!!
(fly high, little guy <3)

Good one, Sax. A rich mine, in my case. Gee, there seem to be some persistent negative themes.
