You got it, Ellen! Talli is indeed a Blue-Headed Pionus!
Wow, definitely the most beautifully colored Blue-Headed Pionus I've ever seen! I love all of the Pionus species, such cool birds! I almost took one in around a year ago, people up in New England were rehoming their 5 year old blue headed, they were good people but they had gotten the poor bird as a newly weaned baby and he had basically been either locked in his cage by himself or locked in the room his cage was in by himself. He wouldn't leave the top of his cage, he just SAT there all day long, every day for 5 years with no interaction. They took very good care of him, great diet, vet care, huge cage, lots of toys. But they had not paid much attention to him from the beginning, he became aggressive, and so he lived in a back room by himself with no interaction at all except when they went in to feed him or clean the cage

. They finally wanted to give him to someone who would work with him and give him attention, and I was all ready to make the 8 hour drive to go pick him and all of his belongings up and make him a part of my family, but they suddenly cut off all contact. I can only hope he's doing well... I'm still sad when I think about that little guy!
