My lovie, Perry is a very picky eater and I'm worried about his health. I tried putting a couple small pieces of lettuce in his main food dish. He picked them out and spit them out! I have millet in his cage, but shows no interest in it. I have some Zupreem pellets that I mix into his seed mix and once again, he picks those out as well. He is acting fine, but worried he is getting enough nutrition. Bird is about 3-4 months old. Any information or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Wet the pellets with apple juice. Another trick that works for JoJo is to introduce new foods at her treat station.

Did you look through this thread I linked to before? It's got some awesome tutorials (with pictures), and great ideas.

Patience and persistence is key when adding a greater variety of food to your baby's diet. It would also help if there is more than just one food cup in his cage. All my fids have 4 dishes. 1 is for water, 1 for the dry food, 1 for treats, and 1 for homecooked/soft/fresh foods. :)

I had read those links, but forgot that information and couldn't remember where I had seen the information. I appreciate the input! I'll be getting a couple more food dishes. So, is it okay that he is not into millet?
