Ok, sorry. Smooth and pink is more common in young budgies. Still think male; even though it's pink, it's smooth, and females have crustier ceres. But a better picture would be great. Thanks for taking him/her in.

This one is still young under 6 months I'd say.
So a little young to be 100% sure, and I'm not claiming expert status ...I say male
