Kyoto has been with us since Tuesday evening. We have been trying everything possible to spend as much time with her as we can. I go to work from 9 until 3:30, and get home anywhere from 4 to 5. We were late tonight, so we made sure on top of lots of feeding a good amount of fresh fruits and veggies to spend our whole evening until her bed time with her.
She is very active and hyper, but mostly wants to sit on our shoulder (which I am trying to curb). We have been teaching her slowly to enjoy sitting on her play gym (rewarding her with treats when she stays for longer periods) in addition to flight training and teaching her to play with toys. We are also paying close attention to her poop at this time, and after her fresh food it really does change up a lot.
Long story short, she had a full 3 hours out this evening and got tuckered out just before bed time. She usually let's me know by singing her night song to go back in the cage and into her snuggly tent to sleep, but she wasn't interested tonight even though I offered her twice. Instead, she fluffed up and cuddled into my hands, while making the most adorable little chatter. We decided to let her be and hubby took some video. Unfortunately, I could only share some screen shots to show. It was such a precious moment.
I hope you enjoy my sharing this special moment too.
