First use toaster oven and outdoor aviary birds

So usually when I have a new piece of equipment I run it on high outdoors for a while. But I have some of my birds in outdoor housing for the summer.... Should I do the first use burn off for my new toaster outdoors? Or I have a trailer on the property with no birds in, and electric. Should I run it in there for the first time? The windows on that trailer are open tho, so does it even matter? Should I just do it outside but not near them?

I would say outside, not near birds. Always best to be safe!
