My GCC is terrified of flash lights. Is this a parrot thing or just a Conure thing? Maybe just my bird?

There is nothing about flash lights that have any connection to a natural occurring event short of lighting!

They are rarely used in our homes, commonly when the electrical power has failed. They create a stream of light that smash against a wall or other flat surface as they wave around the room. In addition they create one of the most spookiest things for Parrots: Shadows!!!

And, for whatever reason, Humans seem crazy about flashing them about when they use them, which places Shadows all over the place.

Not surprised your Parrot is not a fan.

my conures are fine with flashlights and laser pens.....But every bird seems to invent a phobia....don't bring a black pot around my house.......

Strange because I can walk thru the room with an unlighted flash light and all hell breaks loose. But when I stick the end of the vacuum cleaner crevice tool into the cage for a quick pickup she barely makes a peep.
