Flax Seed? good or bad... Anyone know?

I bought flax seed for my QP Tuukee, and I was wondering if it's good for them or fatal...???

i feed flax to my macaw~ not a lot but he gets about 1/4 teaspoon a day in his dinner along with a variety of veggies
