I don't want any reply's other than /share Please copy and past his poster to your FB page or Mass email it .She is one of ours and we need all the publicity we can get. You might think well I am not in Texas but a friend of a friend might be

$1,000 reward.
No questions asked

"I keep thinking this is a three foot plus long, fire engine red bird, who talks, that was lost in a densely populated suburban neighborhood. Last seen free flying at the duck pond on Lakeside Parkway. SOMEONE HAS SEEN HER, OR HAS HER BY NOW. Generally speaking, she's socialized around humans, and is so tame that as long as they didn't do anything stupid, if she were lost and disoriented she'd probably land in someone's yard and just waddle up to them. She's fully flighted (I free fly her) and she's been missing since 4/2/2016. THIS BIRD HAS A HOME. She is very loved, and very missed. This bird has been my constant companion for 17 years. She can't possibly mean more to you than she does to me. Most people are not able to properly care for these birds anyway. Nor are they prepared for the mess the make, how loud and destructive they are, or, for that matter, the kind of tantrums they can throw... Please take the reward money and bring her home where she belongs! NO QUESTIONS ASKED. I JUST WANT MY BIRD BACK!!!"

Sarah and I are both hurting very badly tonight.,,

She called me earlier, and said, "I've been telling everyone for years that Maggie and I are about the same age. This bird is a lifetime companion, and we are going to grow old together. Now that's looking like it's just not going to happen... she's got to come home!"

Needless to say we were both bawling our eyes out by the end of that particular conversation...

IF YOU FOUND HER IN YOUR YARD, SHE CAN'T POSSIBLY EVER MEAN TO YOU, WHAT SHE MEANS TO US... THIS IS A MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY!

SHE CAN'T STAND BEING CAGED....

SHE'S BONDED TO US, WHICH MEANS SHE'LL PROBABLY THROW TANTRUMS IF YOU TRY TO KEEP HER...

MOST PEOPLE SIMPLY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF A HUGE MACAW LIKE MAGGIE, ESPECIALLY ONE WHO HAS BEEN OUT AND ABOUT FOR OVER A DECADE... SHE WON'T BE HAPPY!!!

EVERYONE IN THIS AREA KNOWS US, AND KNOWS SHE'S MISSING...

PLEASE, IF YOU FIND HER, TAKE THE REWARD MONEY AND BRING HER HOME. SHE BELONGS HERE... WITH THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE LOVED HER FOR OVER A DECADE!!!

Yes, it does, Christine! Thank you for this! I put the poster on my FB page, then again with Mark's heartfelt plea.

Shared on FB, AND I stuck this thread (for the time being).

MAGGIE MUST BE FOUND AND REUNITED WITH MARK & SARAH!

I searched FB a few days ago and found and shared this poster as well as another one with a photo of his flyer. I tagged everyone I know in or from Texas who may still have friends or family in the area. Mark & Maggie & family have been in my thoughts a lot since this happened. I can just tell from his posts how deeply attached they are. Losing my Boomer (he got out an open window when my parents rehomed him without telling me when I was 16) still haunts me and I think about it all the time. The good news is social media exists today and I'm sure Maggie WILL be found.

Great idea, Wendy! Thank you!

I've copied and pasted onto not only my personal FB page, but ALL the other groups I am in, not just the bird ones. I included cat ones, horse ones and dog ones.

I also put it on my Mom's, Nieces, Brothers, and several of my friends pages (with their permission of course)

Maggie just needs to be reunited with Mark! Failure is NOT an option!

While in San Antonio, I made copies of the fliers and handed them out to people in the area. I've posted to my blog today and have been posting to different groups on Facebook during the week. Maggie will turn up somewhere.

Someone on another forum would like to know if the last part Mark wrote is ok to repost. I am assuming yes, but wanted to be sure.

Someone on another forum also suggested to post the reward money in big letters...
She said "Your friend should put the reward money right on the poster. I have an acquaintance who lost her grey, and heard nothing for weeks until she updated her poster to "$1000 REWARD" right at the top in big letters. She got a call within hours and found her guy. Unfortunately, people are greedy

I hope Maggie is found and eventually returned to your friend."

Sorry April, I figured I would go ahead and post this for you. :)

I know how emotionally and financially draining getting a family member back can be, so if you find yourself needing anything in either of those groups Mark, let me know. Sadly the reward amount is what most people will focus on, and they will weigh that against what they think they could sell her for. I'd love to think the world is full of honest and kind hearted people, but that's simply not realistic. IM me if I can help, and I'll do all I can.

This happened close to me also. Someone had posted lost parrot on Craigslist for weeks, then they posted reward. Just so happened the bird was found very fast. Sad that people will treat others that way, but it happens.

I think we should consider helping collect a BIG reward. Just like Mark said, if someone has her and getting tired of keeping a large Macaw, BIG reward might look good to them.
Maybe Mark should say $2000 and we can help to collect this amount.
