What's the best diffuser for a glass range top???? We bought a new range today but we have tons of cast iron cookware. Either have to find a good diffuser or they all have to go.... :/

Maybe I just like to live dangerously, but I use my cast iron on my glass-top stove all the time..

I am just careful not to slide my cast iron around, and lift it straight on and off the unit. I've been doing it for years with no ill effects. Don't think I could give up my cast iron. Best bacon in the world :D

It's $2300 range...I can't take that chance..... :(

Ohhhhh Michael I wish I knew the answer... LOL! We also have a glass-top stove and I've been wanting a cast iron skillet.

My partner give away our cast iron pots the day after I posted this...ugh....The only thing that was kept was the skillet as we can use it in the oven.....Also read the warning in the booklet, during self cleaning, be careful about birds as it can be toxic to birds. We ran the cycle with all the windows open, doors shut to the bird room and air system off.

I use cast iron pans on my glass top stove everyday. They can't however be larger diameter than the burner surface, same with any pot/pan.

I use cast iron on my glass top as well.....just veeeery carefully....
