any way to stop my galah from saying a certain word?

Not really. Best you can do is reinforce the hell out of something else. Don't react when he says the undesired. Any kind of attention for it will only make it attractive for him.
My ekkie has the s-bomb in his vocab. He only says it maybe twice a year. When he says it we pretend we don't hear it otherwise we would be hearing it more often.
You just have to find what motivates your bird. Parker will chase me across the house for cheese, so some training sessions include cheese. He also loves popcorn so I have some here and there throughout the house for speech training (trying to get my ekkie to talk in front of people. He only talks when you're out of the room) b

So true! My current and past Ekkie would not speak in my presence. Funny!
To answer the OP question, there is no direct way to erase a word. Ignoring it is best. Too much attention given may result in the word used far more often!!!
