My GCC is a bit of a picky eater. While he loves his broccoli, blueberries, grapes, peanut butter Cheerios (occasion snack), pineapple, cantaloupe, and unsalted sunflower seeds....

He tends to turn his nose at a LOT.
Green beans? Forget it.
Kale? Nope.
Boiled and oven roasted beans? Try again.
Mango. Still no.
Carrots and celery? Haha... Good one.
Pasta? Ewww!
Tomato? How about NO!

He didn't like his calcium chews either. Had him vet checked by my avian vet and he's a healthy boy.

He loves his Lafebers pellets, Nutriberry balls, and his favorites above, but he turns his nose at things. He does love a slight nibble of unflavored yogurt(a rare treat), but anything else he throws out.

If I'M eating something he'll try it but usually I get the Ewwww face. I just feel he may be missing out on key nutrition because he's picky?

Help?!

My GCC is a bit picky too, and it's a new thing. She used to eat whatever I put in front of her, now she has her preferences. Nothing can be cooked, or squishy. Only hard crunch raw veggies for her. And fruit? Forget about that. :p

My methodology is: I have three different areas where my JoJo hangs, cage, two play stands. No area has the same food. And one play stand is in the kitchen, I use that for the new stuff. Since he loves hanging in the kitchen, this seems to work well. Most new things are treated as dog poop and I immediately take it away. Later that day I have it sitting when I bring her out and she is at least willing to taste, by third or forth time, she acts like it is one of her special treats.
