Today as we were changing our lower roof, our balcony door was slightly open. Gemma was in a completely different room but it seemed as if she planned the whole thing. There were many turns before reaching that room. Then she flew straight to the bottom, scurrying out onto the balcony and setting free.
It all seemed so quick, there was no stopping her. I know exactly where she is and she hasnāt moved for hours. Iām not sure if thatās a good thing or not. Iām somewhat assured at the sounds of her screaming in the forest but Iām also saddened at the fact that she isnāt eating or drinking. The area where she is is not accessible for me.
Sheās very close to the house. She just screams and whistles. Iāve tried to coax her down, she knows how to descend but sheās not trying whatsoever. I havenāt seen her but I know she is there, no bird screams like that.
Iām heartbroken, I keep shouting her name and all she replies with is a scream.
Iām losing my mind trying to find a way, does anyone have any ideas?
