Getting a Conure this Friday!

I just need to share my excitement!

My sun Conure, Elmer, passed away almost five years ago due to unknown causes and I have been without a little buddy since then.

This Friday though I will be going to the local parrot shop to pick out a new friend! Definitively will be a Conure, but not sure yet what exact type. (Have to see who runs up!) Although I have my eye on the Nanday Conure.

Any way I just can't contain my excitment for Friday! Glad to be back in the parrot family!

Well I went to "Parrots of the World" and got my little buddy today and boy was it a surprise.. walked in ready to purchase a baby Conure...

...walked out with my new buddy Charlie, a quaker parrot!

He's the most lovable little guy ever. He's sleeping in his hut right now, but more pictures will be on the way!

Actually while shopping the guy who owned the shop picked up and placed this little guy in my hands and he just snuggled so adorably. I couldn't resist!
