I have a new Golden Conure. He is without a doubt the most affectionate bird I have ever owned. I am just wondering if anyone out there in the Forum owns one? He loves to eat! Veggies, dates, figs, seeds, millet, fruit (especially a green grape once a day as a treat), golden pellets, and Monkey Chow warmed up with hot water. He loves playing with his toys and is amazingly not loud. I had him for over a week now and I bonded with him for a month before he could be allowed to come home from the breeder. Would love to connect to anyone else who has been entranced by this kind of conure.

We need pictures! ;)

I still can't figure out how to send pictures. When I attempt it they are two large a file. Sorry!

Congratulations on new baby! I have to ask " monkey chow"???

Monkey Chow is what I call it but I am sure it goes by another name. Yes, I have fed this to my Macaws as well but not mushed into hot water. It looks like oatmeal when I mush it up.

Congratulations on your new conure! Looking forward to hearing more about him~ No golden conure here only a sunny but goldens are beautiful!

Ooooh! One of my dream birds but not as common here in Canada. There are two breeders that I know of but the price for a baby is $5000 :52:. They are beautiful and I heard they have a great temperament generally speaking. Congrats on your baby and we are hoping that you figure out how to upload pictures hint, hint ;)

Each member has a fairly small allotment of space for images. Becoming a Supporting Member increases the total size. However, the best method for posting pictures is via a free hosting service such as Imgur. From there, this is the method for posting to the forum: http://www.parrotforums.com/technical-support/6287-how-post-pictures-6.html#post718293

Hope to see your Golden Conure!

okay I will try to figure out the process of sending pictures. It is a daunting task since I am somewhat impaired about technology! LOL!

They sure do! Try passion fruit cut in half--it's my pair's favorite. They also get papaya, banana, mango, pear, a grape or two, pomegranate, cactus fruits, corn, cooked sweet potato, chopped bell peppers, kale, collards, turnip greens, cooked carrot, peas, chopped zucchini, celery, apple, cooked squash--and if you have any palm trees in your yard, give Muffin a cluster of ripe palm fruits. Mine spend days consuming and destroying it.
