Today I received a gift of a used washer and dryer from a family friend who was moving!!! Yippie mine washer broke and I couldn't afford a new one. At the same time a wonderful family showed up to buy a mint condition used cage I posted on Craigslist. I have turned my property into a wildlife sanctuary, nest boxes, native plants, host plants for butterfly caterpillars. The family had two little girls five and seven they explored and played with caterpillars and the dad caught a baby corn snake we all enjoyed, even the little girls held it. We watched lizards and baby toads too! A neighbor came by with his basset hound puppy we all played with. Then they took my working ok'd dryer and broken washer as he thinks he can fix to donate to one of their family friends!!!!! Good karma!!! Then an ice cream truck came by and we all got ice cream!! They took a picture of my native plants bring life to this yard, and my federal backyard habits sign and said they ate going to do the same thing in their yard. Such a wonderful day
someone helped me, and I got to pay it forward! I hope someone reading this will also put out nest boxes for our declining cavity nesters! This year I had nesting greater created fly catchers, red bellied wood peckers, blue birds, chickadee, Carolina wrens, and tufted titmouse, all in a yard that is less than an acre!! I keep putting up nest boxes and more keep moving in
