green cheek conure mating

okay i have 2 green cheeks one is a pineaple cinnamon green cheek this one is supposedly a boy 1 year old maybe older
the other is green cheek but mix with maroon but still pure blooded green cheek this one is a girl is 6-7 months old im pretty sure they cant mate now but i saw them mating?
even if they dont mate i still want to know.

1 lets say they lay eggs what should i do with the eggs when she lays them.

2 then when they hatch what should i do with the brand new hatchling i know about baby bird formula

so basically a step by step guide thanks im going to add pictures soon of them :rainbow1

It is not wise to let them mate at this age, preferably older then one years of age before allowing them to mate and have babies. Did you provide them a nest box already? IF you did, that will encourage them to do so. Even a happy hut will do the same thing. When you allow them to mate and have babies at a young age, there may be complications such as egg binding that could kill the female if not caught early enough. IF they were to start laying, best to provide calcium supplement!

Are you positive that one is a girl? Males will hump males....

I have a hut but the male is scared of the hut and they have multiple calcium supplements I've bought so many calcium supplements I even buy cuttle bones to crush in their food mix I give them a lot of dark leafs the Romanian lettuce and broccoli and I'm not trying to mate them I'm okay if they do I just want to make sure I would be pre-pared Also any other tips thanks

They can mate and reproduce at that age just fine.... although the hen may not be physically or mentally mature enough to do so...

If you know she's a hybrid (hybrid of two different species.... she is not a pure), then why allow them to mate and produce more hybrids?

It is actually not fine for her to reproduce at that age. There are risks involved!!!! 15 years ago a female of mine decided to reproduce at 9 months of age and it killed her. I'm speaking from past experiences....

Mikey, I believe you! Honestly, I do! I also mentioned that a hen may not be physically and mentally mature enough to do so.

The thing is, she can. I know someone who decided to allow her green cheeks to reproduce at the age of 6 and 7 months. She allowed them because she wanted to, and disregarded what everyone said in regards to health risks! Lucky for her, her birds didn't die.


So although yes, she can, I don't recommend it! And if this hen (assuming it is a female, not that it would matter much) is in fact a hybrid, I wouldn't recommend it at all!
