Hi Folks
i just bought a wild caught african grey parrot. The seller initially said he was 8 months old and now it appears that he is 3 years old. He is very scared wont take food from my hand etc .
i would welcome any tips all of you would like to share

Are you here in the states???? I thought it was illegal for people to sell wild caught parrots here.....Did the seller states he was wild caught??? If so, you should think about turning them into the authorities.....

Why does he appear to be 3 years old? You can view the difference in a immature parrot, but not an adult! Your not able to tell their age by looking!

The importation was banned in 1992 so if he's a young bird and a wild caught, he's illegal!!!

Does your grey have a band?
I would take him to an avian vet and have him checked out:)
