grunting when pooping

so ive recently read that when a cockatoo grunts when they poop they are more susceptible to cloacal prolapses and other diseases

I know that this can be true, but is it that common? I'm asking because my Nobel does this every time she poops.

I read that feeding more squash helps with this.

any opinions?

My macaw makes an occasional sound like that, but as far as I know, and from what the vet says, she's perfectly healthy.
