I'd been looking on eBay for a while for a collection of 'parrots' magazine. I finally found the listing I'd been looking for, it was from no.1 until the end of December last year and only missing a few odd ones in-between which I could try to hunt down later. I was super pleased and excited. I paid using PayPal Credit with the intention of paying it off with birthday and Christmas money in December.

I got back today to find 1 large box, and the label reads "parcel 2 of 2"....
I'm quite disappointed :( I don't know what the likelihood of the other half of the consignment turning up is, but I'm feeling pretty gutted right now. It's either 'lost in the post' (stolen), delivered to the wrong address or I don't know what! Right now i'm waiting for the seller to contact the courier and then let me know what they said.

Has anyone else had a similar problem of only receiving half a consignment, if so - what was the outcome?

*I wasn't sure where to post this rant - I was tempted by the off topic non-parrot related section but as it's about parrot magazines it felt dishonest!*

That is indeed disappointing!

As an Ebay seller myself, did the seller not provide tracking information? If they print off shipping labels through eBay (which most do as it's discounted rates for sellers) it uploads automatically to the buyers "purchase history". If they don't use the bay shipping system, they are suppose to upload the tracking info manually. If you haven't already, you can click on the purchase history tab, then click on the blue tracking number(s) associated with the purchase and it should tell you if the package was recorded as "delivered" or if it is still in transit. I would also personally contact the shipping company myself as well. I've had a few packages 'go missing' before and you have to really get on their case, but 9 times out of 10, the package will be found! I hope yours can be located!

Thanks Kiwibird! The tracking just says 'delivered' as some of it was. I was particularly looking forward to the first issue which features a male eclectus on the front cover... It's in the other box :( It's a bit of a shame that the 2 boxes were packed in no particular order, as I'd still have a consecutive chunk of the collection at least, if they were packed in a more orderly way. I really hope I'm one of the lucky 9 and not the unlucky 1...
Fingers crossed for them turning up!

Curious, did you check various unusual locations a package may have been "hidden" by the carrier? Trash cans, bushes, under the porch, up in the awnings etc... Ya, sometimes the carrier decides to "hide" the box so it "won't get stolen" (i.e. to be a total jerk). Sometimes that means the buyer can't find it either!

The missing box arrived today and i'm sooooooo relieved that the collection is back together again! Someone had lovingly compiled this collection over 20 odd years, keeping them in binders safe and sound.
I've got lots more reading to do now... though I've got to try my best not to 'fall in love' with too many species along the way :D

Yay! I am so happy for you that it finally arrived!

Very glad to hear the rest turned up! That indeed would have been a shame had they been lost. Enjoy reading:)
