I put down a deposit on a baby amazon... now I am wondering how often should I make contact with the breeder. I live in ca she lives in al. I haven't heard any news in a week

Go ahead and contact her if it's been a week. Ask how "Apple" is doing, and if you can get an updated picture. I don't think she will deny you.
