Hello!
These posts are always hard for me to write, so I'll try my best!
I have the pleasure of being servant to a menagerie of animals, but in this intro I'll stick with the birds so we're not here all day :)
A quick bit about me first though.
I tend to be rather private online, so I won't be sharing a lot. That includes my name, so call me whatever though I do respond to AB.
I am a animal lover and very much a budgie nerd! I am also an artist. I joined to hopefully make navigating this site easier, I lurked so I can learn now I hopefully can share some advice too where possible.
On to the birds!
I've had budgies for quite a few years, though I can never remember the exact amount I believe it's somewhere around 7-8 years.
I currently have a flock of five 🥰
Their names are Obsidian, Snowflake, Sunbeam, Emelia, and Winston.
Obsidian and Winston are my two boys, with the other three being girls. Winston and Em are also English budgies.
I also have a Galah (Rose-breasted Cockatoo) named Quarter. Quarter is not DNA'd but I refer to him as a he.
I have three adult California Valley quail, Quaglia, Vagary, and Solivagant. One Six week old quail named Piccolo, and two one week olds yet to be named.
I also keep and breed chickens, so numbers vary. I think I am somewhere near 30 right now 😅
Oh, also after over a year of waiting in a few weeks my Slaty headed parakeet will be coming home 🤩
Well, that's all of them. I'll include a few pics, cause I know bird people 😆

No, just Winston and Emelia. At least that I know of, the other may be part but I doubt it.
And thanks, he knows how to pose :)

Thank you!
It's not particularly common to come across someone who knows what they are, I myself discovered them by google 😅 and have only seen one in person!

Nice to meet you as well!
Thank goodness for Google, I love learning about species that are new to me.
I bet you're excited to finally be bringing your new baby home with you:)

Yes! I make a point of knowing as many species as I can.

Welcome to the forum!

Is it only me that the pics don't work?
Thanks!
When I was on my mobile earlier they weren't working either. Let me try to repost them.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone!
I kinda feel like I didn't do a great intro... if you want to ask questions about any of my birds I am happy to try and introduce them better!

I love your budgies (English, right?) and your Galah is gorgeous! You should take more photos and enter the monthly contest. Very photogenic!

Beautiful birds! I have one full English, Lilibelle. She's a retired show bird turned breeder now retired breeder and currently a perch potato at over six years old. She's a big girl (over 60 grams) and makes my regular budgies look tiny. I call her The English Hussy because as soon as I got her she seduced my male Buddy, which wasn't too difficult because he's a real loverboy, but when I first introduced them he looked at her sideways with this "wow is she big" look on his face and I just laughed and said "don't worry Buddy, she'll be on the bottom", and soon they were happily doing the "Humpty Dance". I hope you enjoy the forum. Lots of great people here!

My English boy had his eyes on my sassy Sunbeam from basically the moment he met her, unfortunately at that time she was taken. We lost her mate a few months ago, so now they are bonded together they don't let size stop them.
